Why SiteUpcycle

Website advice you can understand and act on.

We personally check important findings and connect each recommendation to what your customers need. You get the evidence, the reason for the change and a practical way to check it.

An example from our own website preview

Two menu choices, two clear destinations.

What we observed
In an earlier draft of our website, “Why SiteUpcycle” and “What you get” opened the same section describing the report.
Why it matters
Visitors asking why to choose us and visitors looking for report details need different information.
What to change
Give our review approach and report contents their own sections and menu destinations.
How we checked it
We followed both links with a keyboard and on desktop and mobile layouts. Each leads to its intended heading.
The report details heading shared by both menu destinations in the earlier website draft
Screenshot from the earlier draft. Both menu choices opened this report details section.
The check you can repeat

“Why SiteUpcycle” now opens our approach. “What you get” opens the report contents.

What you receive

Clear priorities, supported by evidence.

We review selected public pages, check important findings, and explain what to improve first. Your report includes supporting evidence and practical ways to check the recommended changes.

What works now

See the selected pages and customer paths we reviewed, with the strengths to keep and any limits on what we could check.

Prioritized opportunities

See which supported improvements deserve your attention first and why they matter to customers.

Clear next steps

Each recommendation explains what we saw, why it matters, what to change, and how to check the result.

A useful working report

Use the polished PDF yourself, share it with your team or website provider, or hire SiteUpcycle to implement the approved improvements under a separate scope.

What the review covers

Visitor journey

Can people quickly understand the organization, build trust, and move toward a call, quote, visit, booking, donation, application, subscription, or purchase?

Search and AI discovery

Are important facts crawlable, clearly written, consistently presented, and supported by appropriate machine-readable signals?

Technical experience

Do mobile layout, performance, links, browser behavior, accessibility signals, and page structure create avoidable friction?

Search and AI observations assess public foundations; they do not predict rankings or inclusion in an answer.

Our review system checks selected public pages and keeps evidence for each finding. We review the results, remove claims the evidence does not support, and help you see which changes are worth considering first.

For small businesses and community organizations

The review follows the actions that matter to you: inquiries, bookings, visits, purchases, donations or applications.

Examples for different businesses

Home services & trades

Help customers understand what you do, where you work, and how to request a quote.

Professional services

Make expertise, trust signals, and the next step easier to find.

Retail & local shops

Surface products, hours, directions, and purchase paths more clearly.

Hospitality & food

Reduce friction around menus, reservations, visits, and local discovery.

Wellness & appointments

Clarify services, policies, credibility, and booking journeys.

Community organizations

Improve access to programs, events, donations, and essential information.

How it works

A clear scope before you pay.

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

Share your website and goal. Choose a review, describe a known issue, or tell us about completed work you want checked. Review your details, then send your request.

  2. 2

Review the scope and fixed price

We confirm the fit, then email the scope, fixed price, timing and terms. No payment is due with your inquiry.

  3. 3

Accept and pay when you are ready

If the scope fits, use the secure Stripe link in that email to accept and pay. Work begins after payment and the required information are received.

  4. 4

Receive your report or completed work

Get the agreed report, repairs or verification. After a report, make the changes yourself, use your website provider, or request a separate SiteUpcycle implementation quote.

Website Fixes & Verification

Fix approved issues. Verify the work.

Start with a Complete Opportunity Report to identify your priorities, then request a quote for the improvements you choose. Already have a clear improvement plan? We can review it for suitability before quoting. Implementation starts at $750 and includes setup, agreed changes, desktop/mobile checks and a summary of the work. We confirm platform fit, scope and fixed price before you pay.

How we protect and verify your changes

Agree on the changes

Choose the improvements to complete, confirm business facts, and identify anything that needs legal or specialist review.

Protect the live site

Establish a current backup, staging or preview path, acceptance checks, and a practical rollback plan before production work.

Make the scoped updates

Apply only the approved content, design, technical, search, and AI-readiness improvements supported by the platform.

Verify and hand off

Retest the affected journeys, document what changed, note remaining decisions, and remove temporary access when the work is complete.

Platform compatibility and minimum access

Platform-compatible implementation

Practical workflows for widely used website platforms.

Compatibility depends on whether a platform provides source access, developer tooling, or a controlled collaborator role. The options below show which services support the most efficient and reliable implementation workflow.

Most streamlined

Git-based and custom sites

OpenAI Sites, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Workers, GitHub Pages, and similar repository-based hosts.

Minimum access

Repository Write access to a working branch. Project-level deploy access is needed only when the connected repository does not handle deployment.

Strong fit

WordPress and WooCommerce

Content, theme, plugin, layout, performance, metadata, and structured-data changes can usually be staged and verified.

Minimum access

Editor for content-only work; a temporary site Administrator or equivalent for theme, plugin, code, or configuration work. Staging and backup access when available.

Strong fit

Shopify

Theme work is streamlined through collaborator access, development themes, Shopify CLI, and optional GitHub theme integration.

Minimum access

Shopify collaborator access with Themes or Manage themes. Product, content, or app permissions are added only when the approved work needs them.

Platform dependent

Wix and Wix Studio

Visual edits and supported business-solution changes are workable, although some editor actions remain platform-specific.

Minimum access

Website Designer for design work; Website Manager only when publishing or broader site management is included. Co-owner and payment access are not required.

Platform dependent

Webflow

Content and CMS changes are straightforward; full design work depends on the assigned site role, plan, and publishing permissions.

Minimum access

A site-specific Content editor, Marketer, or Designer role matched to the task, plus publishing permission only when launch is approved.

More limited

Squarespace and closed builders

Content and style changes are workable, but deeper code, theme, or deployment changes may require an owner-completed platform step.

Minimum access

Website editor or Website manager for ordinary updates; temporary Administrator access only when settings, code injection, or site structure require it.

Least access necessary

A guest administrator is usually enough. Many updates need less access.

Use a dedicated, temporary collaborator invitation. The exact role should match the approved work and be removed after final verification.

Grant only what the work needs
  • Site-specific edit or design access
  • Publishing rights only when approved
  • A working branch, staging site, or backup path
  • Scoped CLI or API credentials when the platform requires them
Not requested by default
  • Ownership transfer or a shared owner password
  • Billing, banking, payouts, refunds, or customer exports
  • Domain registrar, business email, or unrelated sites
  • Permanent access after the work is accepted

Review scope

Public pages. Practical recommendations.

Reports cover selected public pages and customer paths. They are not legal, security, privacy or accessibility certifications, and do not guarantee rankings, AI citations, leads or revenue. Website changes require a separate approved scope.

Questions, answered plainly

Before you request a report.

Who reviews my website?+

We personally check the findings before your report is delivered. We remove claims the evidence does not support and explain which improvements may help visitors understand your business and take the next step.

Can you implement the recommendations?+

Yes, when the platform and access path are compatible. Implementation is a separate service with an agreed list of changes, backup or staging plan, production safeguards, verification, and written scope. No production change is made from the report alone.

What happens after I receive the report?+

Use the plan yourself, share it with your current website provider, or request Website Fixes & Verification with a separate fixed quote. Relevant verification is included in our repairs; correcting our own in-scope deficient work is not a new charge. Later changes can use Progress Recheck.

Do I need a report before asking for a known repair?+

No. Describe the issue and the expected behavior. We can triage fit without an Action-Ready purchase. If the cause is unclear, a separately approved paid diagnosis may be needed before a repair quote.

What do you need from me?+

Usually your public website URL, business category, location or service area, and the customer outcomes you want considered. No password is requested for the standard public-site review.

Does the report use AI?+

The website checks do not require AI. We may use AI to help draft explanations, but we check the evidence and personally review the final report before you receive it.
